Details 4 Events Offered: Brenda Scott, your host, has many years experience teaching herbal and edible forest garden workshops. 200 species of plants, trees, fruits and herbs are grown in guilds, mosaics, over and under canopies on her village lot. Edible forest garden design is based on selecting permaculture plants that are planted once creating numerous benefits for the soil, attracting pollinators, deterring pests and providing structure (niches) like trees for other plants such as vines to grow on and under. Learning the basics of edible forest garden design will enable you to create your own garden sanctuary around your home and to harvest food and medicine thereby forming a deeper connection with all living things.
