The Great Powassan and Area Farmstand Tour

If you’re looking to combine your love of outdoor activities and great local food, Almaguin is definitely the hotspot for both!

Discovery Routes, a not-for-profit organization which supports an expansive network of trails winding through the rugged landscapes of Ontario’s Near North, is releasing the first of a series of cycling and outdoor experiences stemming from the Voyageur Cycling Route trail system.

The Farmstand 40 takes you through the beautiful landscape of Powassan and surrounding area, where you’ll come across farmstands and shops offering everything from vegetables, fruit, meats, preserves, honey, maple syrup, and so much more! The Great Powassan and Area Farmstand Tour has grown from 18 stops last year, to just over 25 this year. The coverage area now includes farms in Powassan, TroutCreek, Chisholm, Nipissing and Astorville Producers and shop owners alike are keen to welcome visitors with COVID-19 safety
protocols in place.
